Dr. Melanie Klein

Dr. Melanie Klein was born and raised in Owings Mills, MD. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, she has always loved having pets and caring for animals. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2012 after completing her clinical year at Texas A&M University. After graduating, Dr. Klein completed a year-long rotating internship at Dogs and Cats Veterinary Referral in Bowie, MD., where she worked closely with specialty and emergency veterinarians. She joined Mountainside in July 2013, and loves being part of the Mountainside team. She has a special interest in emergency and critical care as well as surgery. She currently lives in Eldersburg, MD. with her husband, daughter, 2 dogs, and 3 cats.
