We’re pleased to offer your pet the healing benefits of Class IV laser therapy. This safe, noninvasive treatment can promote healing, reduce inflammation, and decrease joint pain and stiffness. Laser therapy can achieve remarkable results, is pain-free, and has no known side effects. In some cases, laser therapy can also reduce or eliminate the need for oral pain medications or injections.
What is Laser Therapy?
During your pet’s laser therapy appointment, one of our technicians will use a handheld, Class IV laser to direct infrared light wavelengths to an area on your pet’s body. This laser energy impacts tissues at the cellular level, triggering the production of cellular energy, which boosts cellular function and health. Additionally, the procedure increases circulation to the area, which promotes healing, reduces inflammation, and alleviates pain and stiffness.
Anyone watching the procedure will be given special glasses to wear, and your pet’s head will be directed away from the targeted area. Besides glasses, no special prep (e.g., shaving or sedation) is necessary.
